Steeped in History, Restored to Luxury

The Inns of Aurora offer three distinctive properties, each with its own character. The Federal-style Aurora Inn is a refined country inn, featuring graceful white-columned balconies and lakeside dining. The Italianate stone E.B. Morgan House is a smaller property with stunning common spaces, broad lakeside porches and rolling lawns, and an innkeeper who’ll see to your every need. The Rowland House offers vibrantly-decorated rooms, pristine lake views, and whimsical touches of MacKenzie-Childs. Each property is sumptuously appointed with handsome antiques, complemented by an exceptional collection of art. They boast Frette linens, high-speed internet access, luxurious baths, and are just steps from the fine dining at the Aurora Inn.

Whether you visit us for a wedding or to learn a bit about organic farming, for a recreational cooking class or to enjoy an anniversary dinner, you’ll feel the genuine sense of fun and kinship underlying all we do. You’ll also witness our uniquely lived history, our profound ecological connection, and our lasting relationships with our guests. We invite you to be a part of it.

Aurora Inn

Built in 1833, the Aurora Inn has long been the resting place for travelers to the storied Finger Lakes region. The Inn originally served as a stage coach stop for passengers on the Wells Fargo Express, founded by Henry Wells, a visionary entrepreneur who also founded Wells College here in Aurora.

Today, the Inn’s ten gracious guestrooms are true to their nineteenth century origins, yet meticulously re-envisioned for comfort and convenience. Many feature working fireplaces for a cozy winter retreat. Others have private porches with swings and rockers that overlook beautiful Cayuga Lake and the vineyards on its western shore.

Amenities for the guests at the Inns of Aurora:
