Archiectural History

Milly’s Cabin is the namesake of one of its owners, Mildred Fletcher. She believed that a woman “should have a house of her own” and bought the cabin and surrounding land approximately 60 years ago. Built in the 1740s Milly's Cabin has been gently remodeled with electricity, radiators and running water throughout the centuries. However it still is completely authentic with a patina that can only come from being a home for almost three-hundred years. The cabin is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, home in Rappahannock County. It has witnessed historic events, countless family celebrations, tough times and the good years.
