Situated on the shores of pristine Pleasant Lake and across from majestic Mount Kearsarge is the historic Inn at Pleasant Lake. Located in New London, New Hampshire, the structure's beginnings date back to 1790. In 1878, a reitred Union officer bought the building and added a row of deep gables on top of the existing Cape Cod-styled structure and named his summer resort, The Red Gables Inn, which remained the name for over a hundred years.
